Originally from east London, having taught in south London I came to live in Forest Row in 1984. I then taught in local schools for about ten years, later becoming a ranger for Kew at Wakehurst. I now work as a gardener while doing some post-graduate research. I have enjoyed living in Forest Row, the village is large enough to have a variety of services and shops and an interesting mix of people.
I am also on the committee of the Village Hall, a local charity, a wonderful building providing a venue for many different activities,
Parish councils are valuable as the most direct form of local government and can reflect local affairs with local accountability. I have been a Parish Councillor since 1999 and am impressed by the time and effort my fellow Councillors give to the village.
