Having grown up and lived most my life in South London, I now have a wife Maggie, two children and four grandchildren. We moved to Forest Row in 2008 when I took early retirement and now love the slower pace of life. Since moving here my wife has joined the new and thriving Forest Row WI branch and I’ve joined the local Anderida Golf Club. In my 30’s I did find time to support my son’s Scout Group and was a member of our children’s school PTA for several years. The majority of my career has been in Sales and Marketing roles within the Distribution industry, including management of UK and European teams. My final role being Head of UK Sales responsible for a team some 450 staff. Following my retirement (aged 54) I set up a company that successfully renovated domestic properties, only deciding to close it down when the property market crashed some three years ago. As a result I have extensive business organizational experience involving continuous financial and time critical targets, 10 years in customer facing roles, coupled with the very real experience of running my own small business. I now hope to bring some of these skills to the Council for benefit our community.
