COMMUNITY CENTRE

The former Primary School building is now the busy village Community Centre.  Not only is it the home of the Parish Council, the County Library, the Community Playgroup and the Police contact point, but there are many rooms, large and small, for hire.  Many societies, clubs and organisations meet here during the week and there is a rich variety of activities available.  These range from Bridge, Yoga and Painting Groups to Tai Chi and Reiki.  It is also the weekly meeting place for the village Guides and Brownies.  There is a very successful Community Cafe that provides a very reasonably priced home-cooked meal three days a week.  The cafe is held in the Main Hall of the Community Centre, and is staffed by volunteers. Elderly residents enjoy the various activities and interesting speakers at the twice-monthly meeting of the Thursday Club.  Some members are brought to the Centre by volunteer drivers.  Once a month there is a Community Centre market and car boot sale, an excellent opportunity to meet up with friends and neighbours and maybe find a bargain!  There is plenty of car parking spaces to the rear of the main building and a public car park adjoining the site.

Want to use our Community Centre to host a club or related social activity? Please read the details below and ring the Parish Council office to check availability.
